Fungerte som ei kule!

Jeg kjøpte for 2 år siden 2 flasker Auto RX fra deg, har fungert som en kule på min automatgir på Forester turbo.

Redusert oljeforbruk på to biler

Passat blir frisk

Sjekket også luftgjennomstrømming sensorer, men ingen ting galt (diagnosen viste ingen feil).

Engines(Engelsk)
Works as Promise.
Since the day the website started, Auto-Rx® has been on the [BITOG] board. Tony believed that it works as advertised, and he used it in all our vehicles. He cut open filters and checked to make sure it was working as advertised. I continue to use Auto-Rx®. It will not perform miracles, but it will do as advertised if the instructions are followed as written. Each of us has our own favorite products and driving styles."—Owner, Bob Is the Oil Guy Forum

Cleaned Out the Sludge!
Frank, I wanted to take this opportunity to share my story and success with your product. My wife and I purchased our first new car in 2002, a Chrysler Sebring, with a 2.7L V6. We have always been very faithful in the maintenance and care of our car. Towards the end of 2009, with 60,000 miles on the car, our engine oil light started to flash. I took the car to our mechanic. He told me about the sludge issue with this engine and that I had two choices, sell the car or drive it till the engine locks up. I started to research the issue and was amazed at how many people had the same issue and same symptoms. I tried to find a solution, keeping in mind my options seemed very limited. The only option seemed to be additives that would “break up” the sludge, but the issue of chunks and the damage they would cause seemed to only have the same possible effect, locked-up engine.
I came across Auto-Rx and what sold me was that it was to dissolve the sludge, not break it up. I purchased my first Auto-Rx 11/09. I followed the directions very carefully, adding the correct amount and changing the filter at 1200 miles into the oil change. Keeping in mind my alternatives, I continued this process of changing my oil, adding 3oz per quart of oil and changing the filter after 1200 miles. Nearly a year later and three oil change cycles, I no longer have my oil light coming on, ever! I am planning on continuing the treatment for one more cycle, then changing to adding 3oz per oil change. I want to say thanks for a great solution to engine sludge. If I might, I would say to people who have this issue, be patient and keep using it as directed. Auto-Rx really worked for me. Thanks.—Joe M.

Diesel Tips on Ford PSD
I have used Auto-Rx in my 2 Ford PSDs with excellent results. I used it in my 1995 PSD and had an oil analysis done prior to using Auto-Rx®. The oxidation and nitration were very high. I cleaned the engine with Auto-Rx® and the next use of oil was dino Chevron Delo 400, and the oil analysis on that was lower wear metals, lower oxidation and nitration, and soot. When I purchased my 2001 PSD, I did an Auto-Rx® clean on it and then changed oil to Mobil Delvac 1300S, a dino oil. On that analysis the wear and oxy and nit were so low the lab had to re-run the analysis. I have seen results of VW TDIs after using Auto-Rx® with the same results. The real benefit to me is the cleaning of the soot that seems to find places to reside until the next oil change, and then it goes back in suspension, causing wear. The HEUI injectors in my engine take up to 3000 PSI to activate, and the Auto-Rx® has no effect on this. It does not change the viscosity of the oil. The only thing is to follow the cleaning instructions for an engine with leaks. The Auto-Rx® should help if the seals are not damaged.  I have put Auto-Rx® in a new PSD, new 2003 Mazda with 100 miles on it, and my own Mazda. No problems. It works as stated, and now I just use a maintenance dose. I will probably never have to clean them again at this rate. —Tony

Saved Engine and Renewed It
I bought an Auto Trader and skimmed for a Toyota Camry, which I know to be an excellent car. My number one priority in buying a used car is that I must see complete maintenance records. All right! A ' 96 Camry with 86K miles for $8000. An hour later I was viewing the oil change records. Wow! Every 3000 miles without fail! This is great! I gave a $100 binder on the spot, knowing full well Toyota's #1 quality and reputation. The next day all was well as I drove my Camry up my driveway. As many car guys do, I thought, Well, let's check this super clean baby out and check that oil. AAHHH!! What the #*%^*#@ is this black glob of thick gook at the end of my dipstick! In my oil filler cap! — The worst thing that could happen! Sludge! I started looking for someplace to turn to rectify my problem. I first called a few mechanics for internal engine cleaning. These ranged from $700 to $900. Then I got on the Web and searched for "internal engine cleaning." Hmmm, what's this? Auto-Rx. Okay, natural product that cleans all sludge from internal engine parts without thinning oil viscosity. This sounds pretty darn good. I have to take a shot at this.  So 500 miles later after running 12 ounces in my sludge-filled Toyota, the day to drain my oil was here. Whoa! Look at the color of that oil! Pitch black! I've never seen filth like that. And the dipstick! The end below the oil line is now shiny new metal! I swear, it saved my engine and renewed it. I tell everybody about this stuff. Really and truly.—Rick N., Jacksonville, FL

RICK'S FOLLOW-UP
Well, after putting a few thousand city-driven miles on my car, I found a marked difference in acceleration and quicker starting. And quieter! I can hardly hear whether it's running or not! I attribute it to a cleaner engine because it is cleaner and free of that awful sludge. Now there is no more crud in the changed oil, or on the dipstick, or around the filter mount. It's reassuring to see that the engine is not clogged up inside. It's cool to feel like you have a new engine again when the odometer says 100,000. I've since told a lot of my friends about this product. I'm going to be needing a few more bottles for all my family members.—Rick N., Jacksonville FL

Great Results on 3 Vehicles
I have an '87 turbocharged Buick Grand National and an '02 PT woodie. After reading about Auto-Rx, I wanted to give it a shot in my GN since I try to give it any edge possible. After using Auto-Rx in the engine, I noticed very little difference. It didn't surprise me since I maintain it very well, and it never really used much oil anyway. It always has had Mobil 1 oil changes, roughly once a year since it isn't driven that much. The car has 80,000 miles on it currently. After the treatment though, I remember testing it to see how it was under turbo boost. It seemed to be laying down serious torque at only 12 pounds of boost—the type of feeling I was more accustomed to when it was full throttle at about 15 pounds or more. I don't know if was my imagination but it would seem more than reasonable from compression results people have gained with Auto-Rx. My PT cruiser is pretty new with low miles but I did an Auto-Rx treatment at 10K miles just to make sure it was really clean and ready for when I start Mobil 1 and longer drain intervals. I will say this though—I get way better MPG than most anyone on PT forums seems to achieve.
The third car is my dad’s '97 Dodge Caravan - 3.3 liter, the one that really showed me that Auto-Rx can do what it says. Regrettably, the Caravan went on a nearly 7,000-mile oil change with dealer bulk oil. I'm guessing it was 5w-30. It's a long story as the van otherwise has always had Mobil 1 oil changes. After that, it started using a quart of oil every 1,000 miles. After putting up with that for a few years, I put some Auto-Rx in. At about 4,000 miles into the RINSE cycle, it all of a sudden stopped using oil. It was wild. It now uses about 1/4 to 1/3 of a quart every 1,000 miles. For the first 4,000 miles of the rinse, I kept checking the oil and had to put in close toa quart every 1,000 miles. I figured the engine was too worn or Auto-RX just wasn't doing what it says it could do. Then after the 4,000 rinse miles, I'd keep checking the level and it wasn't going down. It's stayed that way for what is probably 40,000 miles or more. The Caravan now has 155,000 miles, never had ANY engine work and I do 14,000-mile changes with Mobil 1. Believe me, up until the reduced consumption at 4,000 miles in the rinse cycle, I was seriously doubting Auto-Rx. And it's nice to know Auto-Rx is paying for itself quite quickly without having to add nearly as much top-off oil.—KP

Saved Me a Transmission Rebuild
Since I saw such good results trying Auto-Rx in my engines and having read about other positive results in transmissions, it was time to give it a shot in my Buick Grand National original transmission. For several years it felt vague and soft between shifts when the car is floored. This car is about 370hp and 475ft lbs of torque SAE net. It did a 1/4 mile in 13.03 seconds on REAL street tires in 80-degree weather. A few years ago, I put some Lubeguard in the trans, thinking I would feel some sort of difference, even if minor, but I didn't. I still had some Auto-Rx left over, so I did a drain and fill to get some of the Lubeguard out. (I have an aftermarket pan on the car with a drain plug; it's the only non-factory installed part on the original trans.) Auto-Rx instructions don't recommend having competing esters and di-esters present. After I put Auto-Rx in, it wasn't very long at all before the shifts at full throttle definitely felt more positive, direct, and less vague. Quite a bit, enough for me to put off what I thought was going to a rebuild by choice to get some more positive control to back the power the engine puts out. What seems amazing, too, is I used the recommended 6 ounces, which seems like too small amount to do anything. And again, more money Auto-Rx is saving me not having to do a rebuild. With that kind of power behind an original 1980 trans, a rebuild is inevitable at some point, but at least for now I can budget my money on other things. —KP

Passat Owner Saves $9,000
Very briefly, my wife's Passat with 68,000 miles, totally sludged. This is a real problem with these cars. Per mechanic, my pressure was 0 at idle and 15 psi at 70mph on new synthetic. I very carefully drove the car home and started some research when I came across this Auto-Rx website. VW wanted $9,000 for an engine replacement. I started the Auto-Rx and drove very carefully. The oil light came on sporadically. By the rinse phase, the light never came on. After rinse phase I changed to synthetic and back to the mechanic for a pressure test. He couldn't believe it—15psi at idle and 45 psi at 60 mph (2000 rpm). He said it was factory specs. Problem fixed. I ended up trading in the car (not a VW) shortly after. Auto-Rx fixed an engine that was within a few miles of meltdown. If this didn't prove Auto-Rx's worth, I don't know what would. I still have a few bottles around that I will use on other cars. In summary, Auto-Rx saved me $9,000 ... a BIG $9,000 thanks. —Fred

Just completed my 2nd Auto-Rx application. I don't know that there are enough superlatives to express how pleased I am with Auto-Rx in a 1997 Taurus 3.0 Vulcan, heavily coked piston rings, very poor compression. There were two applications of Auto-Rx. First was an experiment with Frank and Gary; second was a traditional treatment. The initial test was 2x the dose for 1K miles, followed by a 2K-mile rinse. The second application was at 90k miles with 2.5K-mile application and 2.5K-mile rinse. The final result? All cylinders are now at full compression! The last lagging cylinder (#5) is now up over 180psi in yesterday's compression test, along with all the rest. The chart shown is a recap of the compression in psi, with each reading taken at the beginning of the event. Auto-Rx flat works. Period. While it cannot reconstruct worn metal, it sure can do nearly anything related to byproduct contamination. The only thing I regret is that I didn't take the pistons out for pictures of the coking and then reinstall them and run the Auto-Rx. On the bright side, I didn't have to, because the Auto-Rx did all the work for me!!! And that's the whole point, isn't it? Why tear down an engine to repair the cumulative effects of combustion byproducts when Auto-Rx can do it for you! It's beyond any competition in the market, and it deserves all the praise it garners.—D. Newton

Clean Oil Color in a Volvo
My cousin hit something on the freeway and doinked the cast aluminum oil pan on his 850 Volvo Turbo. I helped him do the pan change. After looking at the bottom end, he did an Auto-Rx treatment to clean it up. He did two cycles at about 150k miles; after the second cycle we removed it again. This time it looked like a brand new engine, exactly like it was assembled that day. The compression did not go up much, but now it's dead even in all 5 cylinders within a couple of pounds, highest to lowest. It went from a 10psi spread to 3psi spread, plus or minus the gauge accuracy. The underneath was not bad before the treatment, but it looked dark and you would get black stuff on your fingers. Now it is absolutely clean and you get a clean oil color on your fingers. This is not to say that we don't have better things to do than stick our fingers in a Volvo but the only way to figure out if something works is to try it. —Lonnie

I Watched the Mileage Jump
I bought a 1997 Volvo 960 back in Feb 2005 with 66K miles on the clock. The previous owner supplied all the maintenance records with the car, so I knew its history. He changed the oil as recommended every 5,000 miles at the dealer, using mineral oil. Since the oil had been changed at 65K miles, I waited until 70K miles to change the oil and do an Auto-Rx treatment. The car was getting a solid 26.2–26.3 miles per gallon on the highway before the cleaning. I changed out the oil and filter and tossed in a bottle of Auto-Rx. While on a trip of 900 miles during the early part of the cleaning phase, I watched the mileage jump to 28.8 miles per gallon, then settle down as time went on to 26.8–27.0 mpg. On the second rinse phase oil change, I watched the mileage creep up to 27.2–27.3 mpg. The camshaft and valve train was coated with a dark chocolate brown varnish, borderline sludge coating at the beginning and after the first rinse phase the same area under the oil cap was as shiny as a brand new penny. One thing I did notice about 500 miles into the cleaning phase is that the engine—a 2.9-liter, 24-valve, inline 6-cylinder–did smooth out a lot at idle. At highway speed, I couldn't really tell, but at idle I could definantly hear and feel the difference. —A. Sichelstiel

18-year-old Oldsmobile Gets 21.75 MPG
I purchased Auto-Rx® for use in my 1992 Oldsmobile Bravada with 120,000 miles. I purchased this vehicle from the original owner who told me to 'take care of her baby' as I drove out the drive. The seller provided me with a stack of service records which included her log book of recorded oil changes. Her proof that she did indeed treat her 'baby' very well. All oil changes had been performed within a range of 3000 to 4000 miles. Despite maintenance performed at required intervals, I did note, however, the visual presence of sludge when I peered down the engine oil fill tube. Having already studied the possible benefits of Auto-Rx®, my decision to purchase was immediate. This vehicle is my primary daily driver. My round-trip commute includes 66 miles of mixed driving conditions almost equally divided among interstate, highway, and city. My speeds range from 70 mph to 30 mph. I'm very pleased to announce that my 18-year-old AWD Oldsmobile Bravada equipped with automatic transmission and the Chevrolet 4.3 V6 ('Z' engine code) is routinely delivering 21.75 mpg. That is up from the 18.5 mpg I was getting prior to using Auto-Rx® . Not too shabby considering there is now 125,000 miles on the odometer. I think that my story is proof that even vehicles that have been properly maintained as per manufacture's instructions can benefit from a single application of AutoRx.—Mike B., Michigan

Ducati Transformed by Auto-Rx®
I have an 11-year old Ducati Monster 400 that I love and cherish. I have owned it for about 3 years now. About a year and a half ago, I poured half a bottle of Auto-Rx® in during my regular oil service. Because I do not ride it often, it took until now to get to about 900 kilometres (700 miles?). Yesterday, when I went to the bike shop to do an oil service, all present were stunned at the amount of black goop that came out with the oil and filter. The mechanic needed about 10 minutes to scrape all the nasty black tarlike substance off the oil drain plug!
The bike now has a fresh fill of Motul series 3000 100% mineral motorcycle oil and a new oil filter. I will be changing the filter and oil again after the next 1000 miles. Maybe I will ride the thing for another few thousand miles before doing a second cycle of Auto-Rx®. My bike feels like new now, it revs so freely, and the full Auto-Rx® clean-rinse cycle is not even complete yet!
I first used Auto-Rx® on my Suzuki truck in Beverly Hills in 2005. I next used Auto-Rx® on my girlfriend's Toyota Celica in Singapore in 2007. This Ducati is the latest to get Auto-Rx®, and I must say it seems to have benefited the most; maybe the fact that it is air-cooled has something to do with it. However, all 3 vehicles are very much the better for having had Auto-Rx® treatment. I will be calling my local Auto-Rx® seller to get some more of this wonderful stuff. While I am at it, I will also be trying to get a few more cases of Motul 3000 20w-50 mineral oil. Pure mineral oil is starting to get harder to find each day!
Thanks for making and marketing a wonderful product to us motorheads out there, Frank. You have truly made a big huge difference to our lives! —Kim L.

Highly Beneficial in a Bike
Three-ester based, no solvents, ideally suited for a wet-clutch bike. Auto-Rx® is highly beneficial in a bike engine. Don't take my word for it, though. Here's the hard data. I've run full clean and rinse cycles through both my ST1100 and GPz750 using Chevron Supreme 20W-50. Repeated twice on the 750, since it's air-cooled. Now I'm running a three-ounce extended engine performance dose in both engines with every oil change. Really smart chemistry IMO, and works exceptionally well with a dino oil. No interest, just a satisfied customer.—Mark F., San Diego

Bike Looks Brand New Inside
I used Auto Rx® on my motorcycle, with a 500-mile clean and 1000-mile rinse cycle. Even after just the clean phase, the motorcycle was noticebly cleaner. Prior to this, the engine had frequent oil changes, usually with true synthetics (Amsoil, Mobil 1). I used dino for the clean-and-rinse oil. The bike had 22,500 miles on it. Even where the filter attaches was noticebly cleaner. Looking into the filler hole in the crankcase, the bike looks brand new. There used to be a slight varnish color on some of the parts, but they are silver clean now. After the rinse process, my mechanic checked the valve clearances and inspected the cams. He said they were shiny, like new, as well. The abbreviated clean-and-rinse worked for my Suzuki Bandit 600, inline 4, 12,000 rpm redline.—B. Kendell

Stopped the Leak in My Bike
Well, it worked really well and fast. I did a compete oil and filter change and added the Auto-Rx®. The leak stopped in less than 50 miles. It used to drip about 5 drops of oil on the ground when I got done riding and most likely dripped while riding, because it took about a quart every 2 weeks. So yeah, definitely glad the leak stopped, because my parents were weary about me parking in their garage. Just thought you might want to know that it did a good job. I did some posting on a few sites about it as well. Thanks.—Chris

Good Test Results on 3 Bikes
Testing has been done on several motorcycles. The first test was done on a Harley-Davidson, and the results were very impressive. PSI before the Auto-Rx® application was 110psi, and after the applicaton, PSI went up to 160psi. At first, I thought that maybe the gauge was bad, so we did the reading with two other gauges and the reading was the same. If I had not seen this with my own eyes, I would not have believed it. The second bike was a 2004 (new) ZX6RR Kawasaki. The bike had a wrist pin noise. When the owner took the bike to the manufacture for repair, he was told that it was common in that model and year, and there was nothing they could do for it. We did one application of Auto-Rx® and within 24 hours the noise had disappeared. The third bike we tested was a 1997 Honda CBR 600 (inline 4). Does nothing but wheelies on this thing. Ran Auto-Rx® 500 miles and it is just smoother and has better power, especially for the wheelies.—Roy Meeker, Senior Teaching Instructor at AMI, Daytona Beach FL

Proper Shifting after Just 50 Miles with Auto-Rx®
I drive a '94 Plymouth Voyager with a 4-speed 4WD automatic transmission. My van would not run in drive until the vehicle completely warmed up, and even then it would stick in first gear at times. I changed out the filter and fluid, but there was hardly any improvment. After adding a bottle of your Auto-Rx®, my car began to shift properly within 50 miles. Product Does What It Promises
I have a 1997 Ford F-250 diesel 4x4 truck with an automatic transmission. I used Auto-Rx® in the transmission because it was shuddering during shifts. It was really noticeable when pulling my boat, which weighs 12,420 lbs. Since the transmission is the weak link in these trucks, I decided to use your product. I applied the treatment twice, since the truck now has 160K miles on it. The shifting problem cleared up, and I've put replacement plans on the back burner. Your product has made an amazing difference in how my truck shifts. I've also used it in my engine. The engine runs smoother since the treatment. Thank you for an excellent product that does what it promises. I am in the process of treating my other vehicles, and I'll do my boat engines in the spring. Feel free to use my letter in total or part as a testimonial for your product.—Dwight

Makes Me Want to Go Out and Drive
A little over three weeks ago, the automatic transmission in my wife's '95 Explorer unexpectedly failed; it cost $2,800 to rebuild using all top-quality, upgraded parts. We also have a '76 Chevrolet C20 pickup and an '83 Ford F250IHD 4x4 pickup, both of which have automatics. I bought the Chevy six years ago, and the transmission had been rebuilt two years before that. Since that time, I've totally restored this truck and replaced the wornout 350 V8 with another 350 V8, based on a 2000 Vortec 1-ton short block, but with AFR cylinder heads. This engine puts out over 350 hp. Over the last few months, the transmission has begun to fail. To go into gear upon a cold start, I would start the engine and put the trans in gear, but nothing would happen until I put it in neutral and revved the engine a few times. I checked that level of the ATF (of course, after fully warming it up, and with the trans in park), and it was where it should be.
When my wife's transmission failed, I took the opportunity to talk to the trans tech about what my C20's transmission was doing. He told me that if the fluid was full, then it was likely that rubber parts inside the trans were becoming hard. After reading a lot about Auto-Rx® at www.bobistheoilguy.com in the additive section, I decided to give it a try in the C20 transmission. What piqued my interest about Auto-Rx® was its propensity to recondition engine seals. I reasoned that it just might recondition the hardened rubber parts in my trans that were causing the problems. I added Auto-Rx® to the ATF in the C20, and within a few days the false neutral problem began to be less severe. Instead of having to shift into neutral and rev the engine, I could simply wait a few moments and the trans would engage into whatever gear I selected. After a week, the false neutral problem stopped happening. It has now been about three weeks since it last happened, and it used to happen at least every other day. It appears that my hunch was right. Auto-Rx® has indeed rejuvenated the rubber parts in my trans, or whatever parts were causing the problem. I still have over 500 miles to go on the C20 treatment before I drop the pan, change the filter, and then hook it up to my shop's flush machine for a total trans flush with new ATF.
As for the F250, it has 100,000 miles on it, and it still has the original C6 automatic transmission. The original owner of the truck had been in the habit of having the trans flushed (as opposed to pan drop, drain and fill) every 30,000 miles, and when I bought the truck, I was advised to flush the trans soon, since this truck was used to regular trans flushes. When I dropped the pan and changed the filter, I was impressed with how clean the trans internals where. It really is a testimony of how important regular auto trans maintenance is! Anyway, I flushed the trans and was impressed with how nicely the trans shifted, especially for being 22 years old and for being behind a healthy 460. At the same time thatI put Auto-Rx into the C20, I also put it into the F250, mainly just as a precaution since it is so old. I figured that it would just give it an extra-thorough cleaning and rejuvenate any internal rubber parts that may need it. Imagine my surprise when my wife and I noticed that both trucks were shifting more positively and crisply! Even though I had not felt the F250 trans could be improved, it WAS improved by Auto-Rx®. The C20 not only has stopped having its false-neutral problem, but the trans is shifting noticeably better with more responsive kick-downs and crisper shifts. I am so impressed with what Auto-Rx® is doing in my transmissions in such a short time, I am finding excuses to go out and drive the trucks in order to move the Auto-Rx® process along.
One final note for now: There are lots of auto trans additives that use sealants and other "quick-fix" ingredients, but these are short-term solutions. I've read extensively about this, and Auto-Rx is different because it does not modify the characteristics of the ATF itself. Instead, it uses the ATF as a carrier to distribute itself to all lubricated areas of the transmission. Once there, it simply cleans the metals, the seals, and everything it contacts. It does this by emulsifying deposits, converting them into liquid form, so they can be carried away and filtered out. Once you drain out the ATF/Auto-Rx® mixture, your trans is left thoroughly clean. If you have mechanical problems, Auto-Rx® will not help, but if your problems are related to deposits and other buildups, then Auto-Rx® will help. I will continue to send in updates as I progress through the Auto-Rx® treatments in my C20 and F250. Obviously, so far, so good. Everything I've written here is my actual experience and is true.—Dave

No More Jerking on Stop and Go
My 1998 Lexus LS 400 with 70,000 miles ran 8 oz of Auto-Rx® in transmission for 1500 miles. I have had this intermittent jerk on takeoff from standstill since I bought the car with 30,000 miles. Well, well, I just finished doing a backyard flush this evening, refilled with Toyota Type IV ATF, drove it around to get fluid hot so I could get proper amount of ATF in tranny. Overfilled (why do I always overfill????) and had to suck a little out. Guess what. So far, I've had 20 or so stop-and-goes with no jerking. Hmmmm... I get confused when stuff I buy actually does what it is supposed to.—Gebo, Virginia

Shifting Better, Smoother, Quieter
It works!!! Tranny has 122k miles and did not have any real issues. Was running Auto-Rx® in oil and got 3 for 2 deal, so I ran 6 oz. in trans for 1100 mi. This had a previous changeout of genuine Honda 3.5 qts, drive 100 mi and 3.5 qts again about 7500 mi ago when i got it and had to put in new drive axles, so I changed fluid. In other words, the fluid was fairly fresh when I put the Auto-Rx® in. Got T-TEC fluid exchange today and brought my own Honda fluid—don't trust their stuff. The old fluid was darker—not very much (as in black) and not the appearance of burned or anything—just darker. I am not hallucinating—This car shifts WAY better, smoother, quieter. I was a little leary of putting ANYTHING in this trans (other than genuine Honda fluid), as I know Hondas are known to be fickle. I'm sold. BOTTOM LINE: Auto-Rx® = GOOD STUFF.—Smelt Jr.

Seal Leaks

Keeps Old Cars Rolling
I used Auto-RX in a +300K mile 1979 Chevrolet Malibu 305 V8 that was leaking one quart per gas fillup past the rear crank seal. I noticed an idle improvement shortly after starting the treatment; de-sludged piston rings. By the end of the treatment phase, the remaining minor drips consist of pink ATP only! I recently let my brother know about my good experience, but before I could name drop, he said "Auto-RX." He used it on his 1968 Chevrolet Corvair for similar reasons and got good results, too. Your great product helps keep old cars rolling and helps users postpone expensive engine overhauls. I'm re-ordering more today for ongoing maintenance. Thanks very much! —Rick K., Houston TX

Still No Trace of Oil Leak
My car is an 1998 Ford Escort with a 2 liters DOHC Zetec engine. Last year I noticed on the passenger side of the engine an oil leak that caused lots crud and oily dirt to accumulate on this side of the engine. The oil seemed to get in the belts and a short 20 min highway drive would send a trace of oil drops on the hood, engine side, etc. If I did not clean the underhood and engine bay once in a while, the right side would be really oily and dirty. When I checked for the source of the leak, I noticed the main engine pully was surrounded with crud, so I guessed it was a seal leak, probably the crank seal. The engine had about 70,000 miles at that point. I added a bottle of Auto-Rx/Castrol GTX and a new filter. Ran 2500 miles per instructions. At this point I did not bother cleaning the engine at all. For the first 2500 miles, did not notice anything special ...Then I changed the oil and filter again and used Pennzoil yellow bottle (I use what's on sale). Then after 1000 miles, nearly halfway in the rinse phase, I decided to do a complete cleanup of the engine bay to see if the leak was improving. Indeed!!! Right after cleaning I did 300 miles and I was in shock when I popped the hood afterward....not a trace of oil on the hood! The engine is still very clean; obviously the leak is pretty much gone... I notice the engine is running a little bit smoother too...really I did not expect much but it seems that this product really works! Can't wait until my rinse phase is over. I know my engine will be clean and leak free! Thanks for the good product! —Phil

Stopped Rear Main Seal Leak
Re: 1992 Grand Marquis that has been very well maintained. Actual miles 127,826 - no oil additive ever used, only natural oil Castrol HD 20/50 wt. Changed oil every 3,000 miles. This application was all done while simply driving the car just 500 miles. This same car had a rear seal oil leak. After one bottle of Auto-Rx and after driving another couple of thousand miles, still no leak. At first my husband was a little skeptical because the leak did not stop overnight. After driving the car at least another couple of thousand miles, the leak did stop and I have had no problems with it ever since. My husband is not so skeptical now. He truly believes in the product and will be using it in the future and will recommend it to anyone that has a problem where Auto-Rx can be used.—Eileen B., DeLand FL

Better Results than Expected
I have two Cherokees with the 4.0 in them. I was quite pleased with my results as well. I followed the procedure oil change and added the Auto-Rx. I wasn't expecting any miracles, but if it slowed my still slow leak, I would have been happy. I replaced the rear seal on an older Jeep and I can say it was a pain!!! Anyways, my wife and I had to take our daughter from Grand Junction CO to Salt Lake UT for a visit to the Shriners Hospital . I was amazed at what my Jeep's overhead console was telling me. Even in this hilly area, my Jeep was showing 22MPG?!! In a lifted Jeep with 31s, that's not right... I double-checked it with my calculator, same thing. I was averaging maybe 17MPG before ARX, which any Jeep owner will tell you is nothing to sneeze at! As of right now, no leak whatsoever, too. I am starting the treatment on my other Cherokee, which is all stock. I'm hoping for the same results if not better! I'm not sure what to think...being promised something and getting better that expected. That's just not normal.—Matt

Stopped Cam Seal Leak
I wanted to let everyone know the outcome of the Auto-Rx treatment in my 1993 Subaru Legacy with 183,000 miles. I have completed all the phases and have about 200 miles on the car after the final phase. I had two cam seal leaks from the front of my engine. They were so bad that the oil was running down the exhaust and burning like crazy! Hmmm, what a smell! Not anymore! It has completely FIXED/STOPPED the leak! There is not a drop of oil coming from the cam seals. According to the directions, it may take about 2000 or 3000 more miles to stop the leak. The good news is that during the last phase, the leak had stopped. This product is amazing. You would not believe the sludge that came out of the oil pan after just the first initial treatment. I have noticed an increase in power and about 1 mpg gas mileage. Here is another story. I had to replace my valve cover gaskets on the car. They were cracked and worn (you would expect that for a 183,000-mile car). When I took the valve covers off, there was not one ounce of dirt, sludge, NOTHING. I could not believe how clean the rods were, as well as the inside of the valve covers. I will say one thing, this product is for REAL. I would recommend this to anyone out there.—Paul, Bel Air MD
